There are different types of anxiety disorder around. This includes panic disorders, phobic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder.

Panic Disorders
A person suffering from panic disorder experiences a recurrent panic or anxiety attacks that happen at unexpected or at random time. These anxiety attacks are not triggered by any specific situations. Their symptoms include difficulty in breathing, rapid heartbeat, chest pain, dizziness, faintness, and hot or cold flashes among other things.
Phobic Disorders
In phobia, there is a specific object, person or situation acting as the trigger. People who suffers from a phobic disorder is said to be have irrational fears on situations. Most of these people ends up avoiding the things they fear. Although people who suffer from phobic disorders usually recognize that what they fear has no actual danger, they still cannot control these irrational feelings.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
There are two main core of this anxiety disorder. The first core is the obsession, wherein a person suffers from recurrent and persistent ideas, thoughts, images, or impulses. In order to distract themselves with these intrusive thoughts, they suppress it with other thoughts or acts. These now result to compulsion. Compulsions are repetitive patterns of behavior. The symptoms for obsession include intrusive and recurrent thoughts on violence, self-doubt and guilt. While compulsions usually manifest in the ritualistic counting, touching, hand washing, cleaning, and checking.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
People who suffer from this type of anxiety disorder had experience a traumatic situation. The people that are prone to this type of disorder are those who survived military combats, natural disasters, torture, victims of crime and sexual assaults. Common signs and symptoms include abnormal sensitivity to light, recurrent nightmares, impaired memory, and difficulty to concentrate.
